Baby Boomers U.S.
This may seem a little early in the process of building the Baby Boomers Blog & Forum to start a Blog Carnival, but I really want to build a Vibrant Community around the whole Topic of what it’s like to be a Baby Boomer.
A little Background…
I have run the Working at Home on the Internet blog since October 2005 and wanted to do something a little special for the First Anniversary of the site in October 2006. So, I threw a Blog Carnival for anyone who was celebrating THEIR blogs B-day in October.
The response was fantastic, I had NINE participants. That may not seem like a very bing number, but remember, it was limited to only Blogs that were celebrating their Blogs B-day in October.
Shortly thereafter, I started the Working at Home Blog Carnival with a similar response. Now, 150 Editions later, the Community has built to an such an extent that I have to (happily) spend a couple of hours reading all the submissions.
To that end, I thought since there is a large audience in the Baby Boomer Generation, there has to be a lot more information out there and quite a few Boomers who have Blogs and something to say about the subject of not being a kid anymore. So…
Introducing the Baby Boomers Blog Carnival
There are only a few steps to participate:
- Write an article on Your Own Blog about something pertaining to being a Baby Boomer
- Submit your article through the Link in the Logo (or here)
- Come back on Wednesday to see your article and read all the other great submissions
That’s it.
The Intoductory, First Edition will be posted on Wednesday 8/19/09 so submissions need to be received by 11am on Tuesday 8/18/09 to be reviewed before inclusion.
This will be an ongoing effort (along with the Baby Boomers Forum) to build a Vibrant Baby Boomer Community in which we can all learn, laugh, and live long to collect our Social Security Benefits.
There will be a Weekly Baby Boomers Blog Carnival, so don’t worry if you miss this one, just Click the Logo in the Sidebar to join in anytime.
