My Heart is Not a Gear
With this new health-care debacle
And all they have tried to do
There is on point that raises my chockles
More than even the money, when it’s due
It is not that Medicare just fades away
Or that Social Security will disappear
Nor is it that premiums will rise, I say
But my Heart is Not a Gear
My car by law it is decreed
Is insured at great expense
My health itself must now indeed
Be covered by mandated insurance
I understand the thought prosesses
And all the reasons that they try
To improve health-care for the masses
But to force me under duress to buy?
With a fine of increasing bucks
Looming over my head by law to adhere
Mandating insurance under penalty just Sucks
